Nuh-Uh-Uh!

Holy crap!!!!

It’s been practically a month.

And I’m so, so, so, so sorry! I really have been busy lately, and even when I wasn’t—-it takes a special mood for me to want to update this site. A mood, that, for some reason, has not paid me a visit in a while.

Anyways—-here’s an update for y’all.

School started on the 11th, and it’s been going along pretty well. Just finished the third week, actually. Days have been going by pretty quickly. I’m taking six courses, and they’re all pretty good save for one because I have a teacher I can’t stand.

Not that he’s especially ingratiating or anything, it’s just…I don’t know. He’s got this monotone, slightly nasally annoying voice and he’s not all that pleasant of a character to be around. I like calling him Bruce Wayne because his middle name is Bruce and his last name is Swain. Only I kinda stress on the ’s’. Like “Oh, I have that stupid EP class with Bruce ssssWayne.” Poor guy’s on crutches now though, because he had some kind of procedure done on his knee. So I’m trying not to dwell on the fact that I don’t like him very much.

I got a couple of big assignments due already on Sunday. I have to meet up with my partner this weekend, maybe later on today or tomorrow, to finish them up. I also had three tests last week. One I aced, one I did meh in (73%) and another I could’ve done better but I think I injected enough BS to do a good enough job. Or at least it’s what I hope.

Barbecues and Rock Stars!

I had a pretty cool day today—-I went to a BBQ gathering with my friends at Faisal’s house. (Oftentimes it’s at my place, at my compound’s clubhouse). It was a pretty nice change of pace to go to someone else’s place for a change, hehe.

However, as usual, we didn’t all meet up on time like we planned to. My group of friends are notoriously bad with the concept of punctuality, save for maybe two or three people. (And one of ‘em is me). Jay picked me up from my place at 1:00 and we drove to the supermarket to pick up the food and snacks, which didn’t take too long. We were finally told that we couldn’t go to Faisal’s place at 2:00, as originally planned, since they were cleaning it up before we all arrived. So we killed time by going to another mall and ultimately looking through a DVD bin at a supermarket that was chock full of ultra-lame movies (like Killjoy 1 and 2 and Van Damme’s Double Impact). It got me wondering how so many seriously, seriously BAD movies were ever green-lit and given a production budget in the first place. Aren’t there better places for that money to go?! But, hey, at least they were good for a few laughs

Finally we made it to Fais’ place after taking a couple of detours to pick up something Fais asked for. Everyone was there already, which was good since it would have sucked to have to wait more for them. Arthur and Mikey were outside, getting the BBQ ready for the food and most of the gang were indoors, glued to a freakishly addictive game by the name of….Rock Band.
