Grins and Clockwork

Well, quite a bit has happened since my last update.

My friends have adopted a new way of greeting one another. (And it’s not just greeting really…it’s more like something they’ve picked up and do whenever they can’t think of anything else to do).

It involves humping the air suggestively and going “ooooookaaaay!!!”. They picked it up from some (I think) Japanese dude who calls himself Hard Gay. He wears a leather gay outfit that shows off a lot of his legs and he goes around trying to help people. And his signature move is…well…humping the air and going “ooooookaaaaay!!!”. So, more often than not, if you’re strolling innocently into the SRC you will be greeted this way. Only, thankfully, my friends have not adopted Hard Gay’s outfit. Because that’s just disturbing.

We have also finished the SRC elections. Our new president is a Qatari dude named Sulaiti—-big surprise there I’m sure. Our new VP is a Pakistani girl named Asma. I voted for neither but knew they’d win anyways. Hopefully, they’ll be better leaders than our last P/VP duo. Not that last year’s VP was bad—-she was great really. Our former president left much to be desired though. We’re pinning our hopes on Sulaiti being a much more efficient leader. There’s that and there’s also the fact that we now have seven (that’s including me) out of fifteen SRC members who are close friends, so that should also help a ton.

The Scribe hasn’t been sent to the Marketing department yet due to some editing that still needs to be done on the part of one of my graphic designers. So they should hopefully have everything in to me by Sunday and the issue should be out by the end of next week or the beginning of the week after. *Crosses fingers*

Well, I’ve got a huge report to write up and I’ve got my uncle’s family coming to visit really soon…and I wish they weren’t because I really have a lot to do and no time to entertain. This is what happens when you procrastinate–see? Guh.
