Lysol Disinfecting Wipes…

…have nothing at all to do with this post. I just didn’t know what to title it, and I just saw the commercial on TV.

Good news. I recieved my first acceptance and that’s to CNA-Q, a Canadian college in Qatar. I faxed in my confirmation letter and now all I have to do is register for my classes on the 26th of August. All that is left now is a reply from Qatar University, which I may go to instead. I have recieved an ID number from QU but I don’t know what do do with it. I went on the university’s website, but it’s not telling me much of anything. I’m planning on staying up ’til 2:00 a.m. again to call them. (Time zones, and all that junk.) Yeah…

I watched Michael Moore’s documentary, Sicko, the day before yesterday when I was out with Lebne. I always try to take everything Michael Moore says with a grain of salt, because I know how biased he is, but still. What he said was very eye-opening, even if it turns out that only a third of it was true. Freaky…and makes me real proud to be Canadian. (I’m also American, since I was born there, but it’s not something I identify with. I never lived in the US. I guess you could say that I’m about as American as my mom is British just ’cause she speaks English with a British lilt in her words. For the record, she’s pure Lebanese.) Anyways, it was a really good movie, even though it tore my heart apart about every other scene.

Finally, a random question.

Why is the LJ mascot a goat? Just wondering…

I’m Going to FREAK…

Okay. There’s this DISGUSTING pop-up. It’s putting me on the verge of hurling all my guts out on the damned monitor. It also unexpectedly blocks out everything I’m typing so I have about a thousand typos to correct. Thank God I’ve had the keyboard memorized since I was eleven so I don’t have to constantly look up and down. Here’s what is says:

Symantec.

Your computer is at risk in the following areas:

-Virus protection is turned off

Open your Norton product to resolve these issues.

(This has a checked checkbox next to it): To prevent duplicate security status alerts, use my existing Norton product alerts and turn off redundant Windows Security Alerts. (Recommended)

I’ve been pressing “OK” about sixty times in the past five minutes. In fact, it’s there in front of me as I’m typing this. I’m going to explode. I HATE pop-ups. What’s worse than a pop-up?A FREAKING REDUNDANT ONE! I’m seriously going to lose it.

Blech…

I have a cough.

A phlegmy cough.

Consider me annoyed.
